Anyone remember this famous poker dog painting by C.M. Coolidge?! As a kid I’d visit my Grandparent’s house and see it hanging on their living room wall. I always thought it was so weird, but also cool because it IS so random. Like of all the things a dog could be doing, why would they be playing cards? Now over a century old, his work has become truly iconic.

What made him really special was his ability to give each dog such human-like expressions and personalities. There are so many awesome little scenes, like the bulldog passing his buddy the card under the table while all the other dogs try to keep their best poker faces... timeless!

After I got my hands on this artwork, I realized the entire scene also made for a really cool Last Supper-style vibe on the base. His process started with pencil sketches, then moved to pen and ink for the line work, and finished with oil paint on canvas to bring those expressive dog faces to life.

Cassius "Kash" Coolidge had almost no formal training as an artist but decided to become one anyway—exactly the kind of rebel spirit we love! He started with oil paintings, working as a cartoonist before diving into his legendary dog series in 1903. The guy even invented those plywood cutouts where you stick your head through at carnivals!

Now I’m not a betting man myself, but a lot of dog lovers are going all in on this ski. We're only building 300 pairs of this absolute classic and hand-signing each one. Don't fold on this hand—grab yours before they're gone!

You'll dig these too...
