Jessa’s “Kootenays” graphic from last season was so popular we had to invite her back from another collab! She’s an experiential landscape artist and a badass backcountry guide based out of British Columbia, not to mention, a former New Englander & UVM graduate. This particular painting is from Jessa’s #getoutoftownvibe series, which includes sketches of landscapes she sees while actively out in the field.
The scene in this piece is a common view for Jessa during her winter adventures along the Slocan River, a 60-kilometre long tributary of the Kootenay River in the Canadian province of British Columbia. We loved the effortless flowy vibe of this painting reminding us of floating through pow after a fresh storm.
I'm only building 200 pairs of these Limited Edition skis and hand-signing and numbering each, so stop slacking off and grab a new pair before they’re gone!
Keep up to speed with Jessa on her website and follow her constant adventuring on Instagram

The second-widest ski in our Explore Collection is a true powder ski that handles far easier than a traditional "fat" ski, surfing powder like a dream while staying nimble on your feet.
The Slacker is a lightweight pow ski that also charges hard, equally comfortable hot lapping in bounds stashes as it is touring into the backcountry to get first tracks. Built with freshies in mind, its long rockered tips keep you floating effortlessly while the light build makes it easy to whip around and more playful in deep snow. We included plenty of tail rocker for backing up, skiing switch, and buttering without getting caught up. The 110mm width is quicker than most pow skis so you can also have fun ripping all over the mountain when the pow is gone. Although it's light, its reliable flex and carbon fiber stringers deliver lots of energy and power for high speed charging through chop and variable snow. We also included a subtle tail notch that provides reliable skin clip retention on long tours to find the goods. Add our pre-cut skins that perfectly fit the skis, and you're ready to go touring right out of the box. Slash, surf, play and have way more fun adventuring off the beaten path on this insanely versatile pow ski!"

This ski is kind of a big deal!

The Slacker does a great job of maintaining much of the predictability, versatility and playfulness of J's other skis, in a lighter package.
