J Says Best For: Powder / Park / Groomers / Trees

Waist Width: 104mm

1) Look at the size of your current skis and consider if you like the length or prefer shorter or longer.

2) Remember that 2-3 cm is not going to make a huge difference. Over 5cm will start to make a difference in feel.

The chart below is for general reference based on your height, but you should also consider these other factors. . .

Choose LONGER length if you:
- Feel your current skis are too small
- Want to ski faster & float better
- Are a heavier person so want more stability
- Are an expert, aggressive skier

Choose SHORTER length if you:
- Feel your current skis are too long
- Want easier maneuverability & float in powder is less important
- Are a light weight person and want more maneuverability
- Are a beginner, casual skier

The Artwork

Colton Jacobs x J Collab

When collaborating with a photographer it's usually very challenging to find an image that looks good cropped to the proportions of an extremely long, skinny ski shaped canvas. However in this collaboration with Colton Jacobs, while browsing through his portfolio, this photo basically reached out to me screaming, "put me on a ski!" The trees stretched perfectly from tip to tail and we loved the way the high contrast black trees popped off the white background creating such a super clean, yet surreal vibe.

The forest of black burnt trees against the backdrop of such a pristine white canvas of virgin snow is incredible. Colton was skiing through the woods in central Oregon when he stopped to look up and realized he was in the middle of a small blizzard, surrounded by burnt pines. Lucky for all of us, he pulled out his camera shot this photo.

I’m building only 350 pair of this new Limited Edition graphic on The Vacation ski and hand signing and numbering each pair so you have a unique ski like no one else. This is your chance to grab a pair before these one-of-a-kind skis sell out!

The Vacation™

A wide ski with a soft, playful flex for throwing tricks all over the mountain, from the park to the powder

“The Vacation” is the ultimate getaway from traditional boring skis! It features a truly one-of-a-kind, soft flex pattern that’s equally distributed throughout the length of the ski. This enables it to match transitions and excel at a larger variety of freestyle terrain so you can throw down with more style and control, without getting bucked. Its 104mm waist is super versatile, it floats easily in powder, yet is quick enough to also shred all over the mountain, including the park. The added surface area under foot makes for stable landings and provides even more balance and control when buttering and sliding rails. I designed the tips with a very smooth rocker and a unique early tapper geometry for a catch-free, effortless, surfy feel. You can pivot on a dime, and never have to worry again about catching your tips when popping from forward to backwards, buttering, or throwing tricks… even in fresh snow. If your idea of fun is to slash, press, air, butter, nollie & jib from untracked pow to the park and everywhere in between, it’s time for a Vacation!
