Don't call it a comeback... Bob's been here for years!
This piece came from season eight, episode 13 when Bob's talking about living in Alaska and painting the northern lights. This is by far my favorite Bob Ross ski collab to date because of the way he fills the sky with the northern lights makes this piece look so different from any other Bob Ross work. The painting is beautiful, literally popping off the ski!
Bob uses his legendary "wet-on-wet" oil painting technique where he applies new layers of oil paint on top of still-wet layers. This method allows him to complete entire paintings in 30 minutes using brushes and painting knives, transforming simple colored smudges into intricate landscapes in seconds. This northern lights piece required some tricky work extending the aurora up the tip and blending them with the reflected lights in the lake at the tail, but Fank channeled his inner Bob making it look like a breeze!
Some fun facts about Bob... He spent 20 years in the U.S. Air Force stationed in Alaska, where he first saw the snow and mountains that became his trademark subjects. He took his first art class at the Anchorage U.S.O. club and believed everyone had artistic talent. His philosophy was simple and has become one of his most famous sayings inspiring millions of others, "There are no mistakes; just happy accidents."
This is our 4th Bob Ross collaboration. Each time people tell me, "oh, I missed it. Are there any more?" And I have to tell them, sorry they’re sold out. Remember once a Limited Edition ski sells out, it’s gone forever! I'm only building 450 of these, which is less than I’ve made in the past so order now to get them before they're gone!

This mid-width ski in our Explore Collection lets you have your cake… and eat it too! It devours pow stashes just as well as it rips the groomers.
The Escalator is easy up, easy down! This lighter weight, yet uniquely solid ski is built to do what you wanna do, whether that's sunrises on the skin track or spending all of your time riding lifts. The secret ingredient is a combination of a light Aspen core paired with our classic downhill ski construction for a Goldilocks feel that seamlessly blends stability with weight savings. Its 102mm waist slides perfectly into every skier’s quiver as a do-it-all tool that can lay down carves in bounds as effortlessly as it surfs pow in the trees. We gave it a twin-tip shape for skiing backward and increased maneuverability in tight situations like chutes and trees. A subtle tail notch provides reliable skin clip retention for fast transitions. Add our pre-cut skins that perfectly fit the skis, and you're ready to go touring right out of the box! The Escalator is the SUV of skis that keeps your legs fresher longer, so you can shred stronger everywhere on the mountain from sunrise to last chair.

This ski is kind of a big deal!

A bell to bell cruiser with the reliability, nimbleness and energy that I've been craving for a long time.
- Freeskier Magazine
The 102mm-wide Escalator combines a pretty accessible flex pattern and freestyle-friendly design with a moderately lightweight construction, equating to a ski that a whole lot of folks could enjoy, whether you've got a park background or are a directional skier who wants something forgiving and intuitive.
- Blister Gear Review
Takes the fun of a damp all-mountain ski and lightens it up to tour.
- Backcountry Magazine
Lightweight, slashy and nimble. It pivots on a dime while maintaining a respectable level of stability. The fairly aggressive sidecut lends itself to a mean carve, yet you can still pivot, slash and schmear the tails. It’s a great combination for today’s creative freeride skier.
