Pain McShlonkey Recap
The Annual Pain McShlonkey Classic brought ski bladers from every corner of the earth together to celebrate legendary skier Shane McConkey, raise money for charity, and compete for the elusive golden saucer!
This year's event raised a record amount of money for amazing causes. $10,000 to the Scotty Lapp Foundation to help fund a skatepark and over $50,000 will be donated to the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe, Protect Our Winters, the Latinx scholarship program at Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation, and to support the McConkey Foundation's EcoChallenge.
Bumped into Michelle Parker… instant flash back to 20 years ago in 2001 at the same mountain I noticed her crushing park laps and offered her a Line skis sponsorship on the spot (her first sponsor at age 16). Super proud to see her still living the dream inspiring the next generation!!!
Pure chaos as 60 skibladerz drop in from the top of Palisades Tahoe
