Wheras most magazines don't run images like this because of landing tracks, I've always loved this one for the multiple tracks. It shows the precision of riding away from hit after hit (-1 😪) , rather than a photo of a blank canvas landing where you don't know if the skier even came close to landing. There’s a reason why this line is on the bucket list of any serious skier that comes down to Portillo. A 2500+ vertical foot bootpack, with Mt. Aconcagua looming in the background, followed by a 4500+ vertical foot ski down, and plenty of technicality and no-fall zones on both parts. One of the most physically and mentally demanding things I’ve ever done in the mountains, or anywhere for that matter.
