Behind the scenes of Level 1 SuperUnknown

 

 

 

Two members of the J Team, Audrey Friess and Justin "Juice" Kennedy, made the cut this year and got to take the trip of a lifetime out to Mammoth to ski with the world's top up and coming park riders at the Level 1 SuperUnknown event.

Level 1 SuperUnknown is an annual event where skiers from around the globe submit entry videos for a chance to be invited to film in a private terrain park with Level 1 Productions! This year's top 10 men and top 6 women were joined by previous years winners for an epic week-long session at Mammoth Mountain in California.

"This has been a dream of mine since I was in high school. My first SuperUnknown entry is still up on Newschoolers from when I was 17. The first look at Mammoth's setup was so intimidating. For me, this park was a bit out of my comfort zone, but everyone was so encouraging and helpful to me to get over some mental fears." - Audrey

"I got to spend a Fast Friday with Parker White, talk about cars with Jonah Williams, catch up with old friends, and watch many of my favorite skiers huck themselves. Sh!t was sick. Everyday five o’clock rolled around it was time to snag a beer and watch the hip sesh at the bottom." - Audrey

"There were so many never before seen features, plus massive rails and jumps. All of the riders were going nuts all week long and I had to keep reminding myself… you’ve earned your spot here, you are on this level of skiing, do you, and have fun..." - Juice

"It’s truly about friends, experiences, and community. Everyone gets it, everyone was kind to one another, everyone loves skiing as much or more than me (hard to fathom) and for that I was grateful." - Juice
