PRODUCT LINE MANAGER MERCHANDISER

We're looking for someone with years of clothing and accessories and outdoor gear product development experience working with factories and suppliers to develop new product. As a Product Manager Merchandiser at J, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and development to market launch. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, marketing and sales to ensure our products align with market demands and strategic objectives. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a keen understanding of market trends, product development, sourcing, financial planning, consumer behavior and product merchandising.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Product Strategy and Planning:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive product strategy aligned with company goals and market trends.
    • Conduct market research to identify opportunities, analyze competitors, and understand consumer needs.
  • Product Development and Merchandising:
    • Collaborate with design and development teams to create innovative and marketable products.
    • Ensure product merchandising aligns with brand positioning and enhances the overall customer experience.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with manufacturing, supply chain and quality assurance teams to ensure timely and cost-effective product delivery.
    • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop effective go-to-market strategies, including promotional campaigns and product launches.
  • Market Analysis and Trend Monitoring:
    • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities and consumer preferences to identify opportunities for product improvement and innovation.
    • Analyze sales data and customer feedback to make informed decisions regarding product adjustments and enhancements.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Monitor and analyze inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained.
    • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to manage product availability and restocking schedules.
    • Implement effective inventory control measures to minimize overstock and stock outs.
  • Financial Management:
    • Develop and manage product budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals and objectives.
    • Monitor and analyze product performance against financial targets and implement corrective actions as needed.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, Product Development or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years proven experience in product management, merchandising or a related role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen understanding of market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong experience and comprehension using analytical tools and spreadsheets.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret sales data and market trends using analytical tools and spreads.
  • Creative mindset with a strong eye for visual presentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
