1) Look at the size of your current skis and consider if you like the length or prefer shorter or longer.

2) Remember that 2-3 cm is not going to make a huge difference. Over 5cm will start to make a difference in feel.

The chart below is for general reference based on your height, but you should also consider these other factors. . .

Choose LONGER length if you:
- Feel your current skis are too small
- Want to ski faster & float better
- Are a heavier person so want more stability
- Are an expert, aggressive skier

Choose SHORTER length if you:
- Feel your current skis are too long
- Want easier maneuverability & float in powder is less important
- Are a light weight person and want more maneuverability
- Are a beginner, casual skier

Limited Edition Graphics

Total Made: 450 Pair

Public Release: August 12, 2019

The Artwork

David Pirrie x J Collab

I'm excited to be releasing my first collaboration with Vancouver artist David Pirrie. When I first came across his beautiful mountain scapes, I assumed they were photos. It wasn't until I zoomed far in that I realized how much time he put into every paint brush stroke to make these majestic mountains look so life-like on canvas.

David's a passionate life-long skier that often takes photos of the mountains he's out adventuring in. When he returns home, he sketches the photos onto canvas and then paints in the mountain scene in extreme detail. The painting on this ski is of Mount Shuksan, one of the largest and most iconic mountains of the Pacific North West, located near Mount Baker ski area. Watch the video to the right to learn more about his artwork and process.

I’m building only 450 pair of this new Limited Edition graphic on The Metal ski and hand signing and numbering each pair so you have a unique ski like no one else. Grab a pair before these one-of-a-kind skis sell out. You'll be one of the few skiers in the world with these rare J's on your feet!
