Picture yourself floating through untouched pillow lines and pow fields from the top of the peak to bottom of the valley – that's the vibe Hayley Stewart captured in this incredible snowy mountain masterpiece!
Last summer during Fank’s canoe trip down the Columbia River, he kept spotting this incredible artwork all over Revelstoke with such a unique style. It turned out to be work by Hayley Stewart, a Canadian visual artist based in Revelstoke, BC who creates these beautiful mountain paintings.
What I love most about this piece is you can really picture yourself skiing it! Tip to tail you see the detail of rocks and trees, it just brings back those epic pow day vibes where you're getting first tracks through the trees, hitting cliffs with bottomless snow below. The blues and whites, the way she paints... it's just awesome!
What makes Hayley's process so rad is her two-stage approach she calls "chaos and order." First, aerosol paint is applied loosely onto canvas outdoors in Revelstoke's vast open spaces – creating backgrounds that look like starry galaxies or radiant auroras. Then comes the calculated second stage where acrylic paint brings the detailed mountain landscapes to life through precise brushwork. She uses bold palettes, smooth color blending, and concise brushstrokes to highlight nature's intricacies.
Hayley's got this sick two-stage approach she calls "chaos and order" – first she goes wild with spray paint creating these dreamy backgrounds, then brings it all together with acrylics to paint the detailed mountain scenes. Her bold colors and thick brush strokes make everything pop!
I made only 300 pairs of this new Limited Edition graphic on The Flight ski and hand-signed and numbered each pair. If you’re digging these, grab a pair quick before they sell out!
